Backcracker

I don’t mind when I am called backcracker as this is what I do.
We even have a room with a sign that a patient made us called the “torture chamber.” We really don’t torture patients and we don’t break any bones.
The cracking of the adjustment is not the bone breaking but nitrogen gas releasing from all the built up pressure. Like a champagne bottle releasing a gas bubble. When vertebrae are aligned, patients feel better and the body functions better. Whatever the spine connects to will function better as well.
For instance, if the 6th bone down in your mid back is out of alignment, that could mess up the communication/messages sent to your stomach. Patients feel better and even excrete toxins better when L2 is adjusted. When the sacrum is adjusted, a child can even eliminate wetting the bed.

Our goal is not to torture our patients, but some of the techniques that we use that break up scar tissue/adhesions can leave a bruise, and you may be sore from your treatment, however, this discomfort is only temporary.
If you are scared, which is understandable, we have gentle treatments available for you. If you have a medical condition, like brittle bones or osteopenia, we can use a light, gentle treatment to realign your joints and spine.
I had headaches as a child and also suffered back pain from scoliosis. My mom took me to a chiropractor who used a technique called an Activator, which I now do in our office for patients and children that like a more gentle technique. It helped me when I was young, so I wanted to help others as well.
